Zappalito als  known  little pumpkin is   a small, round,  dark green skin summer squash  a type of cucurbita maxima, that used like zucchini when they are young (soft skin, mild flavor),but can also  be used when they are mature for winter use,developing a  hard skin and sweet orange  flesh ,similar to  a small  pumpkin .perfect for soups and stuffing,its known for its dense, creamy .

Summer/ winter squash  grows on bushy plant  not long vine.maturity for youn  ssquas  50-60days,90-100days maturity for winter squash.
