Orange Tamarillo / Tree tomato

The tamarillo (Solanum betaceum)is a tree or shrub in the flowering plant family solanaceae (the nightshade family) it  bears the tamarillo, an egg shaped 

They are semi-drought tolerance, the tree can grow up to 5meters,from seeds to start producing fruit 3-4 years.  The fruit are highly in vitamins and iron and lowin calories, the flesh of the fruit is tangy and variably sweet ,with bold complex flavor, the orange tamarillo is wilder and sweeter than red ones.
