Purslane (portulaca oleracea) is a common succulent "weed "with red stems and small gree leaves ,used to add to salad, sandwiches, or soups or cooked lik spinac , but it can spread aggressivel in th garde they have small yellow flowers, taste slightly sour or salty,similar to spinach or watercress.
Supper food as a nutritious edible in many cuisine for its slightly sour taste, rich in omega-3s ,vitamins (A,C,E),and minerals and antioxidants
Caution=Do not confuse with spotted spurge, which has a milky sap when broken and is toxic. Plant in well drained soil , Drought tolerant.
